FL Studio Pro publishes independent tutorials, troubleshooting guides and buying advice about FL Studio. This policy explains what our pages are based on, how we handle testing claims and what happens when the software changes.
People first, claims second
A useful guide should answer the reader's actual problem before it tries to rank for a phrase. We research the search intent, related questions and competing page formats, then write the clearest route through the task. Keywords and related terms belong where they help a reader recognise the answer; they are not a reason to repeat the same sentence in different forms.
Editorial judgments are labelled as judgments. FL Studio's pattern-based Channel Rack-to-Playlist workflow can feel fast for beat making, for example, but that is not evidence that it is the fastest DAW for every producer or every recording job.
Sources and fact-checking
For version numbers, edition features, system support, licence terms, prices, menu paths and technical recommendations, we prefer primary Image-Line sources. These include the current FL Studio manual, the edition comparison, official support answers and release notes. We record the date on which time-sensitive evidence was checked.
Independent reviews, search results, forums, Reddit and other community sources can help us find recurring questions or platform-specific failure patterns. They are directional evidence, not a licence to turn one comment into a universal fact. We do not fabricate quotes, usernames, test results or community consensus.
When we say something was tested
We use phrases such as “we tested,” “in our session” or “we measured” only when a retained record identifies the FL Studio version, edition, operating system, relevant hardware or driver, method, date and evidence owner. The result must be reproducible enough for an editor to understand what the number means.
If that record is absent, the page is described as documentation-based research. A correct menu path taken from the manual is useful, but it is not presented as proof that somebody clicked through a live project. The editorial byline “Daniel Brooks” identifies the publication's author line; it is not used to imply an unverifiable career history.
Technical numbers need boundaries
We explain what a number measures. A 512-sample buffer at 44.1 kHz is about 11.6 milliseconds for one buffer; it is not the complete real-world input-to-output latency of a computer, interface and plugin chain. Advice also includes meaningful platform boundaries: a buffer increase may help underruns, but a driver, sample-rate mismatch, plugin, USB connection or Apple Silicon configuration can be the real cause.
Images, interface visuals and accessibility
Article covers are original editorial artwork made for the specific topic. Tutorial visuals are chosen for instructional value: a real screenshot, a clearly identified interface-style illustration, a signal-flow diagram or a comparison that makes the step easier to repeat. We do not use a decorative image as evidence that a session or product test occurred.
Generated illustrations are created with GPT Image and reviewed for misleading controls, labels and layouts before publication. Alt text describes the useful content naturally. Captions explain why the image is there rather than repeating the filename or inserting mechanical keywords.
Links, money and independence
External evidence is linked in the relevant sentence instead of dumped into a source list. Internal links should help the reader continue the same task or understand a necessary prerequisite. A link is not added simply to push another page.
FL Studio Pro is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Image-Line. FL Studio is an Image-Line trademark. If a page contains an affiliate link, sponsorship, supplied licence or other commercial relationship, that relationship must be disclosed clearly on the page. Payment never changes a technical fact or guarantees a positive verdict.
Corrections and updates
When a factual error is confirmed, we correct the visible page, FAQ answers and matching JSON-LD together. Structured data is not allowed to preserve a stronger or older claim than the article a reader can see. Material version-sensitive changes trigger a new source check; cosmetic date changes do not count as an update.
To report a possible error, email hello@flstudiopro.com with the page URL, the disputed sentence and, if possible, the current Image-Line documentation that supports the correction.
